Last night while watching yet another re-run of Parks and Rec, I asked Alex if he was happy with all of his choices he made in 2011. My camera drowned before SF, and my budget didn’t include a new camera. All of my pictures were taken with my camera phone, which is actually a pretty great camera (Droid X). However I’d like to sharpen them up and play around with the colors.
Obviously if a cheap digital camera isn’t in the budget, neither is photoshop. Have any of you used a noob-friendly photo editing...

Super easy pot roast recipe
So we can all be pretty housewives…
Ingredients:
3-5 lbs of whatever meat you choose (cooking time based on 3 lbs. Made 4 large meals)
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 cup beef stock
4 large potatoes
1 yellow onion
1 small bag of baby carrots
Optional additions I used: flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, rosemary
Step 1: Brown meat. Liberally rub flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper...

Alex’s family (and everyone who knows we’re visiting) keeps warning me that San Francisco is going to be super cold when we visit for Christmas. Every time I check weather.com, it looks the exact same as Raleigh (mid to high 50s for high). Does west coast weather feel differently than east coast? Is it because people think I’ll assume California weather is always hot? WHY...

5 days of low carb down! I only caved once on Monday when I NEEDED sugar and ate a Christmas cookie. After that I threw the rest of the homemade deliciousness away (sorry Mom!!) because I can’t have that temptation in my house. It hasn’t been that hard and Alex only morphed into a talking burrito once. Way too tight jeans already fit, which is why I love low-carb. Pretty instant...

Our heat is out at work. It hurts to type my hands are so cold. I think this may be illegal.
