All inclusive…yay or nay?
Year anniversary (holy shit) is coming up with Alex and we’ve discussed taking a trip to celebrate. I originally suggested Savannah, GA because I’ve never been (and he’s only driven through) and based on our love for Charleston, people always suggest visiting. Plus we could do the fun sightseeing as well as take a trip to the beach.
Then I remembered our friends took an all-inclusive trip to the Bahamas last winter for like $700 total last fall (booked through www.bookit.com…hey give me a discount for the plug). So we started browsing and found a few that would be a little more than Savannah, but still a crazy good deal. All-inclusive + airfare for around $800 per person to Cozumel at an adults-only resort (Me + Alex + your screaming child is not how I envision my anniversary trip going). The place has glowing reviews on every online review board I’ve checked.
I’ve never done an all-inclusive vacation before. It says all of our meals and drinks are included, but are there going to be fees I’m not expecting? Have any of you traveled to an all inclusive resort before? What were your thoughts?
