Because obviously I can’t make decisions without consulting all of you first, even when it involves my uterus.  And google only brings up horror stories.

I’m starting to lean more and more towards an IUD (and finding a new gyno because mine refuses to even talk about allowing me to get one).  I’m horrible about remembering to take the pill, and the monthly panic attacks about becoming pregs aren’t getting any funnier.  Patch and ring aren’t happening, I’ve seen firsthand the horrible effects they’ve had on my friends.  I’ve heard women who have lots of side effects from the pill (eg, me) hardly experience any with an IUD. 

Any of you have an IUD (without popping out a baby first) and want to tell me what you think?  People who have it tell me they love it, and then in the same breath say they know someone who got pregs on it.  But I guess the same can be said for the pill right?  What was the insertion process like (insert penis joke here)?  Have you had any issues with it?
